Luke Wall, Senior Manager of Area Services for Special Olympics Washington, says providing a new central location is of prime importance for volunteers and athletes in North Central Washington. “We currently have awesome programming in Wenatchee through their Parks and Recreation Department, and we are now working to grow programming north of Wenatchee to include Chelan, Manson, Methow Valley, Omak, Okanogan and other localities. The partnership with the Community Center at Lake Chelan will be an instrumental piece in doing just that. This agreement represents a very big step forward and will allow us to serve even more individuals with intellectual disabilities.”
